Lash Lifts and Tints. If you are a low-maintenance lash kind of person, a lash lift and tint may be for you! This treatment will curl and tint your lashes darker so they appear longer and fuller. Think of it like waking up looking like you have mascara on already! Simply Sugared Aesthetics uses the Elleebana One-Shot Lash Lift System. Results typically last for 6-8 weeks.
How can I manage my expectations? Results cannot be guaranteed because everyone’s lashes are so different. If you have longer lashes, you may have more dramatic and noticeable results than someone with shorter eyelashes. Just because you have short lashes, it doesn’t mean you won’t have great results! Just don’t compare your lashes to someone else with different features. If you prefer to get a patch sensitivity test done for any potential reactions, please book a free consultation online through Gloss Genius. Patch tests should be done at least 24 hours in advance to treatment. If you are lifting your lashes for the first time, your lashes will be processed for the times reasonable for your lash length, health, and desired outcome. If you lift your lashes again, times can be adjusted as seen fit by your technician. This is done to make sure your lashes are not over-processed and maintain their integrity.
What are the contraindications? If your lashes are brittle, damaged, or weak, a lash lift and tint is not for you. Use a lash serum for a while and grow your lashes a bit! Once they are healthy enough, then come in for a lift. If you are nursing or pregnant, you will need to get clearance from your doctor prior to receiving treatment. Any type of eye irritation, abrasion, infection, disease, etc. will need to be treated and then receive a doctor’s clearance before receiving treatment You may elect to bring a contact case to put your lenses in during treatment. Otherwise, you may want to wear your glasses to your appointment. Other contraindications include: claustrophobia (eyes closed for whole treatment), chemotherapy, Bells Palsy, alopecia
How do I prepare and take care? It helps to speed the process up if you come to your appointment without makeup or serums. Makeup, dirt, and oil will be removed either way, but not fighting mascara is more comfortable for both the technician and you. If you wear contacts, you may want to bring a case to put them in during the service. After your appointment, avoid getting your lashes wet/direct steam. Take cooler showers or wear goggles if you have them (lol). Avoid oil based products for the first 48 hours as they can strip tint and make lifts fall faster. You can wear mascara over your lifted lashes after 24 hours if you want! If you sleep on your lashes, you may wake up with them in all different directions. If it’s been more than 24 hours, it helps to brush them out with some water and redirect them. Give them a few hours and they should go back to where they were. It’s best if you can sleep on your back!
